Clark Roberts, Founder of Ultimate Vision, & April Students of the Month Will be Featured Thursday

Clark Roberts, the founder of Ultimate Vision, will be our featured speaker at our regularly scheduled Thursday meeting on May 1 at 12 noon at the Family Pancake House, 17621 Redmond Way, Redmond, WA 98052. In addition to our featured speaker, Redmond Rotary will honor the April Students of the Month from Redmond High School.
Clark will address:
Impact and Influence: The Power of our Words and Actions
Clark says, "The power we hold to influence others is in how we make them feel, how we listen, and how we connect. Words can uplift or hurt, and actions can include or exclude. As someone who is blind, I’ve come to understand that words and actions have a deep impact on those around us both in our personally and professionally. Without sight, I rely on how people speak and treat each other. I try to always see the heart of kindness in everyone. How are you using your Impact and Influence in your life?"
In addition, Redmond Rotary will honor the Redmond High Students of the Month for April--the last celebration this school year!
All are welcome to attend!
Redmond Rotary Recognizes March Students of the Month and Learns More About Camp Korey

Redmond Rotary Recognizes March Students of the Month
On Thursday, April 3, the Rotary Club of Redmond honored the March Students of the Month from Redmond High School (RHS). Daniel Kitia was recognized as the Junior Class Student of the Month, and Prisha Sood was recognized as the Senior Class Student of the Month.
Each month, a different RHS department nominates three juniors and three seniors who exemplify character, leadership, and a commitment to Service Above Self, Rotary’s guiding motto. These students then interview with Redmond Rotarians, who select one junior and one senior for this meaningful recognition.
Daniel Kitia – Junior Class Student of the Month

Daniel was nominated for his exceptional kindness, curiosity, and leadership. Known throughout the school for his genuine and joyful presence, Daniel goes out of his way to create a welcoming environment for others and build community. He is active in several school clubs, not only to explore his interests but to support school-wide activities and be part of something larger than himself.
“He wants to learn. He wants to investigate. He is just a gentleman,” said his teacher Quinn Fuginni. “He wants to build community and is always welcoming to others.”
Daniel’s positive impact extends beyond campus. He helps family members with their responsibilities and values the lessons and wisdom they share with him. Daniel is humble, curious, and committed to creating a good life—for himself and for others.
“I am just speechless,” said his mother. “I feel blessed having him. He is a leader to his brothers. I am very happy with this award and very happy with the teachers who nominated him. I believe in him!”
Prisha Sood – Senior Class Student of the Month

Prisha is a leader in both athletics and school clubs, but her deepest commitment to service shines through BluBirds, the nonprofit she founded. Through BluBirds, she builds meaningful connections between students and senior citizens at a local retirement community by organizing educational, social, and cultural events. Her efforts create intergenerational relationships that bring joy and understanding to both groups.
Beyond her leadership at school and in the community, Prisha also deeply values her role as a big sister. She takes her connection with her younger brother seriously, offering guidance and support—even as she prepares to move on to college. Her sense of responsibility and care for those around her is evident in all areas of her life.
“I get the joy of having Prisha in class every day,” said her teacher Cerice Keller. “Every day she is connecting with her peers. She has a drive to support people.”
“Thank you for nominating her,” said Prisha’s mom. “College decisions are coming. I know she is going to be great!”

Camp Korey provides a space for campers and their families to just be authentically themselves, a place where imagination sparks the spirit, and where childhood comes first, 100% free of charge!
